We want you to enjoy our products as much as we enjoy baking them but we have some simple Terms & Conditions for all orders. By ordering from Bumble and Goose, you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions.
Your Payment is required to confirm online / telephone orders and until your payment is received, your booking / order is not be guaranteed. As a result of your booking. Payments can be made in various forms including Paypal, Google Pay, Applepay, Credit or debit card and by arrangement Cheque or Faster Payments Bank Transfer. For corporate orders, items must be paid in full before the order is prepared.
For orders booked via Social Media (Facebook/Instagram) and telephone/email, you must pay the agreed 25% deposit amount before the booking is confirmed. A balance due date must also be paid by the agreed dates. For Wedding related orders it is usually 1 month in advance and 50% deposit and for standard cakes, two weeks in advance. We reserve the right to cancel any order still awaiting payment on the delivery date. For orders booking via Website, payment in full is required at the time of ordering.
Local deliveries are made by hand on the date specified in your order. Deliveries are usually in the afternoon Monday to Friday. Weekend deliveries may incur an out of hours charge. Local delivery rate is based on a mileage / time charge and will be agreed in advance. All deliveries are undertaken by Bumble&Goose or our couriers. Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address on the day of your order; if there is no-one on hand to receive the cupcakes we will do our very best to leave them in a safe place (with a neighbour, receptionist, caretaker etc.) but we cannot keep hold of the cupcakes for re-delivery and they will be left at the address you have given us. If you would like us to deliver to your place of work or somewhere with a mailroom/courier point we are happy to do so but please note that Bumble & Goose cannot accept any liability for the treatment of your order or mishandling once a delivery has been made and the package/s signed for.
All our drivers are instructed in the correct handling of the cakes and will always pass this information on to any postroom workers but once the cakes etc are signed for we cannot accept liability for the subsequent handling of your cupcakes or other products. If we have to attempt a re-delivery then an additional delivery charge may be due. If arranging your own courier collection we would advise always booking a van or car. Once cakes have left our bakery we can not be held liable for any damage that occurs on transit. Any issues should be handled directly with the courier company you have chosen to use.
All our cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and brownie etc are baked to order and we do not accept returns.
Refunds, credit notes or a replacement order to the same value will be given only in the event that you receive the incorrect product or if the products are shown to be of unsatisfactory quality. Should this be the case, or if you are in any way unsatisfied with the condition or quality of your cakes upon arrival you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Bumble&Goose will not accept liability for any complaints made after this time. Gift notes and credit notes are valid for 6 months from date of issue.
We reserve the right to use photographs of orders we prepare on our website, blog, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Tiktok and Facebook pages. If you would like to specifically request that we do not use pictures of your order, or that we provide you with a picture of your order we will usually be happy to do so but you must let us know at the time of ordering. We try not to share photos of products before the event the are made for, but if you wish to kept it discrete then please advise us at time of order. We make a lot of cakes & biscuits and only a small selection make it to the page purely due to opportunity between baking to photograph.
If you need to change the date or details of your order or cancel it altogether please contact us as far in advance as possible.
Telephone and online orders cancelled 3 days or more before the delivery/collection date will receive a full refund on the order total less deposit. Deposit is built into online orders at 25% unless Wedding related which is 50%. Those cancelled within 3-6 days of shipping/delivery/collection will be entitled to a 50% refund; those cancelled within 48 hours of the order date will not be entitled to a refund (although refunds and credit notes may still be provided at Bumble&Goose’s discretion).
For orders which are to be shipped/posted, an additional time frame of 3 days on all conditions applies to allow for the shipping time before delivery. Due to the ongoing COVID global pandemic and its effects on supply chains, Royal Mail do not register an item to be late until 14 days after postage. Currently we use tracked Royal Mail 24 service. The vast majority of our items arrive next day after postage but sometimes they can be a day or two later depending on demand on the postage system at the time. Unfortunately this is out of our control. If an item does not arrive, please contact us to arrange a replacement item. Ensure addresses are correct with any specific delivery instructions added to order notes. Orders to IRELAND – we currently use FASTWAY couriers who operate on a 3 day delivery service. Sometimes this can be 2 days but usually 3. Please ensure correct EIRCODE is added to delivery address and a contact number for the driver as some rural areas are difficult to find.
Customers who have booked and received an invoice from Bumble&Goose are entitled to a full refund less deposit on the order total for cancellations made 28 days or more in advance of the order date and a 50% refund for orders cancelled within 7-27 days of the order date. Orders cancelled within 7 days of delivery/collection will not be entitled to a refund (although refunds and credit notes may still be given at Bumble&Goose’s discretion).
